Arizona team Saturday-Sunday

Our flight from Baltimore to Phoenix went really well. After our flight, we stopped at a restaurant called Judy’s Cookhouse. The food was delicious, and the service was great. We left the restaurant around 2:30 pm, and started driving to the church in Pine Top, which is where we are staying. We drove through the mountains, which were beautiful. We stopped on the side of the road to view the mountains. We were able to enjoy the warm weather after a long drive. We took some memorable pictures, and went on our way. We were able to drive through the Apache Reservation. Larry Priebe and Jerry Addicks told us about the history of the Apache as we were driving through. We found that a couple of the people in our group have Native American ancestors.
Later on, we arrived in the city Pine Top, and went to a worship service at 7 pm. The sermon was amazing, and the music was breathtaking. We met Jon at the church, who is a missionary that works with the Apache tribe. We were greeted by the church family, who were excited that we are serving in Arizona. There were several people who commented on our Arizona shirts. It was amazing to see how we already made an impact on the community
This morning, we drove over to the Kennel, which is the youth center. Ron talked to us about the reservation and the Apache Tribe. He told us his testimony about how he started working with the tribe.  After this, we went to the Apache Christian Church. It was neat to see the traditional church on the reservation. We met some of the Apache and more of the missionaries. We are so excited to work with the Apache Tribe and the missionaries this week.
This is the band who sang at the first worship service. There will be many pictures coming soon!
