On our final day in Mexico we are saying goodbyes to the El Pozo
staff and packing bags. A giant group hug with the El Pozo staff as the center
was our final goodbye. We are reminded that even on our travels home we are
still on mission and should be expectant. We have each gained so much and have
been poured into by those around us. God has shown his abundant love and grace
this entire trip.
We started the travel day by taking a bus from Puebla to Mexico
city. It was a smooth ride and everything was timed perfectly. Getting into
Houston was another story. The kiosks which normally keep the lines moving were
down.
God sometimes puts us in places where we know He is asking us, "Do
you trust me?" We did. At just the right time the kiosks opened and we were off.
Running to get our bags, then to check our bags, through security, and then to
our gate, all we could ask as we boarded the plane was, "How did we make this
flight?" Of course we know God is in all the details, and He clearly showed that
to us.
Goodbyes are never easy but like we talked about in our devotional
time, they are necessary for what God has next for us. We all shared what God
showed us this week and how we'll be different because of it. This week eighteen
lives experienced the kingdom of God in fresh and powerful ways.
