Lydia joined us for a morning devotion today. The topic was Justice
and we asked ourselves are we concerned with the injustices around us? Are we more focused on using our time, talents, and treasures for our benefit or God's Kingdom?
We headed to reservation for a prayer walk and we prayed at the local hospital for physical healing and also spiritual healing. Then we picked up Tamara she is a Native American and 18 years old she helps at the youth center. She joined us to stop and pray at the Tribal Council and Ceremonial grounds for the Apache nation. We prayed for its leaders and also our own nation and leaders. We were reminded of this verse.
“Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.”
Romans 13:1 NIV
Tamara shared her testimony of choosing Christ instead of following her earthly fathers way of tradition she was asked to choose and she chose Jesus.
In her testimony she used these words " I FELL IN LOVE WITH JESUS " I was just blown away. How often I can say I Love Jesus or I Follow Jesus, but I don't always use those six words that are so powerful.
The women went with Lydia to help her set up her classroom. The guys went to a recovery lunch at a church. There we were able to spend some time talking and ministering to some native men. I met John three weeks out of a 18 month incarceration searching for hope trying to stay away from old people but back in the same old place. In jail he received a bible and starting reading God's Word. Please pray for him.
We ended the evening with a large meal with all the missionaries present. Just some time of fellowship and listening to needs.
I know we missed the Undaunted study tonight and I keep thinking of this line.

One person at a time there is a difference being made on the reservation to change lives by pointing others past themselves and straight to Jesus.
