Team Arizona day 2 update (Sunday)

“He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.””
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭46:10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

We started our day by having a meal with Meredith and Lydia the AYM missionaries. We asked for an update about their lives and their needs in ministry. No matter what the issue they mentioned  whether it was great or small, they said God would provide. One of the current needs is transportation, they have a large bus that is broken down off the reservation requiring a $1500 part  and a van that is getting close to the end of its usefulness.
After visiting the reservation for the first time today I realized that transportation plays a vital role in their ministry. They constantly pick up the students and transport them around to different events and church services off of the reservation . This is the only way for the youth to get around. The reservation is massive (1.6 million acres) from the entrance of the reservation to "The Kennel " that's the name of the youth center its approximately 20+ miles. To put that in perspective it would be like driving from MCC to the entrance of the Ft. Mc Henry tunnel.

We worshiped at White Mountain Apache Christian Church it was a great service. There were teams from Missouri & Indiana with us in worship.
The message was "To get the most out of our relationship with Jesus we need to Talk to Him and Listen to Him." The same way we develop a deeper relationship with a friend by spending time with them. That if we want to hear from the Holy Spirit we need to have some silence in our lives. If our lives are too full we can miss out on His direction and correction and start to drift off course. At the end of service we even had the privilege of stacking chairs, felt like we were back in Bel Air Campus

Pastor Pete invited us back in the evening to a dinner he had planned for the Indiana team from his home church. Once again we had a great opportunity to develop relationships with others. We were in a home with 30+ people that we didn't know before walking in the door. In a few minutes we were eating and fellowshipping with our Brothers & Sisters in Christ.
We ended our day with team devotion and Prayer.
What a Blessing to be Present and to feel His Presence.
