Team Arizona Sat 18-July full update

July 18

“In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭33:21-22‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Our morning began at 4am with Nathan reading Psalm 33. He reminded us to Praise God in all we do , to keep our Hope in God who spoke it and it came to be. To also be the Hope to those we come across so we can show the Love of Jesus to everyone we meet.

After a 5&1/2 hour flight we boarded the bus to get our rental car. There I met Becky, she needed to use a phone to make a call to her mom. She asked us why we were in Arizona and where we were going. After explaining why we were here she shared some of her life story . She was Jewish , lived in Texas and just was in a treatment center in Florida for addiction. She was in town for her brothers funeral and seemed very uptight and on edge. We had a conversation about our past history and what we shared in common she asked for a hug and said so glad you were here now I have some Hope that I will be alright.  Wow Praise God

After a few more hours of driving to Pinetop I met Meredith and Lydia the missionaries for the first time. Both of their  eyes lit up when they saw Jean, Jerry & Larry. Just another reminder of how important developing relationships are.
Second time today we could see the Hope in someone's eyes. They were excited looking forward to this coming week to be Loved on and to get poured into. They shared some positive stories of some of the ApacheYouth and how the relationships are growing. They also shared with us some positive personal news about their own lives.

At 7pm we headed to "The Church" for a worship service. It was s portable church in a high school , just like Bel Air Campus. When they played Great I Am , I felt like I was back at home at Mountain. The message was: Jesus is not a religion to be endured , but a Relationship to be Enjoyed.
Great preaching great time. After service and getting a bite to eat we headed back to the church where we are staying this week. Thanking God for such a great location to spend our nights.  It has been a long day , but what a Blessing to be Present right where we are and feel His Presence with us.

Please keep our Team in Prayer.

Whose I am is more important than who I am

Busyness doesn't make us important , it takes our focus off of what's important
