doing VBS at the MOHI school there.
We were so blessed to be able to spend time with Dennis and Renda- who
were wonderful hosts- bringing us fresh fruit and ice cold cloths to cool
us off in the desert each day.
Den and Ren also prepared two amazing home-cooked meals for us. After
dinner on Wednesday evening we had a time of worship on their side porch
(led by our new Turkana friends). Afterwards we shared Isaiah 52:7-10
(substituting Kenya for Jerusalem) and then presented Dennis with his
signed Converse shoes! At first he started bawling and then he started
laughing. He wore them the next night when we went out for dinner at an
American style diner in Lodwar!!
Den and Ren were greatly encouraged by the signed shoes (Sandie S
had two pair of sandals for Ren) and each note and card! [from MCC staff and members]
