Today has been a great day! Currently we are seated at a diner getting ready to eat an American style dinner in Turkana, which I have a feeling will be quite an adventure. This morning we did VBS and it continued to go very well. After lunch we had a great time hanging out and enjoying the kids, while the Brazilian guys (and some Americans) and the Kenyan teachers played a pretty intense game of football (soccer) which was great to watch, and the kids were eagerly chanting BRAZIL! BRAZIL! The Brazilians did end up winning, surprise surprise. We got back to the lodge and were able to rest for a couple minutes, which was much needed. At around 6, Dennis and Renda Curran took our whole group out to dinner and that is where we are currently.
So far the trip has been pretty good, a little draining and a good night sleep is much needed but other than that everybody seems to be doing well and we look forward to the rest of our time in Turkana and then back in Nairobi.
