laughter and tears from Team Kenya

After sleeping in a little bit this Sunday morning, we were off to attend church at Pangani located at Missions of Hope. As we pulled up you could hear the beautiful voices praising our Lord in their native tongue.  We were blessed to hear the word of God spoken in Swahili and translated into English.  The Holy Spirit’s presence was in this place and we were honored to participate with our Kenyan brothers and sisters. We were touched when the Pastor spoke so highly of his wife and felt he was encouraging the many young men who were in attendance.  The service ended with many coming forward to be baptized, 22 men, women and children.  It reminded us of home and our own Mountain baptism splash. The service was filled with joyful singing giving praise to our good, good Father.  The service was slightly longer than what we are accustomed to, lasting approx. 3 hours…

Kylie and Andria blessed us with a wonderful lunch at Urban Eatery, which felt a little bit like home. The weather was quite lovely and we enjoyed our lunch outside with these sweet girls.

We end every day with laughter and tears sharing our highs and lows from the day. We are feeling stretched but so grateful that He has brought us together here
