Goal for today: Finish el
casa for the wonderful family!!!
The first step to completing
our goal was starting an hour earlier. When we got to the site, the weather was
perfectly cloudy and cool with a drizzle, and we all thanked Jesus it stayed
that nice for the majority of the day.
The next steps to
accomplishing our goal consisted of installing the roof, insulation, electrical
wiring, drywall, and stuckoing the exterior walls. Each task was challenging,
but we all had a lot of fun, learned good skills and grew even closer in our
relationships with each other, the El Pozo team and the family who's house we
are building.
The finishing steps involved
sponging the stucko to make it smooth, installing outlets, lights, the door
knob and of course, cleaning everything up well.
After a long, hard day, we
built the house and accomplished our goal! We all rejoiced, especially the two
boys.
