Rise and shine at 6:15 with Gene blaring Andy Mineo
as a wake up. The work day started at 7 am with some pick axing and black
v-neck t-shirts. Today we layed down the foundation of the house which took
hours upon hours of strenuous work. The children and our team developed the
best hand shake known to man. The family of the house we built chefed up some
amazing tamales. (Yes mom and dad I did eat tamales- Jade) We met the neighbors
child names Christopher who has been paralyzed on his right side for 10 years
from a skate boarding accident and the first thing he asked us was "Can I
help build the house". After this we built the frames of the walls for the
house and called it a day to head back home for a delicious meal cooked by the
El Pozo team and an inspiring testimony by our group leader Nick from Casa por
Christo. God is doing amazing things and we are blessed for every second we
spend here. Amen love you all.
