Truly a BLESSING!

I just wanted to take the time to say Thank You to each and every one of you, for your prayers and support for our Casas 2017 trip.  It would not have happened without you! 

I'd like to tell you a little bit about the family that through God we were able to bless...

The Urbano Cruz family consists of Saira Luz, Isai, and their two children, 9 year old Marcos Emanuel and 7 year old Isai.  The father, Isai, works 7 days a week at both a factory and as a salesman.  The family had bought land three years ago in hopes they could finally call a place their own.  However, there was a mix up with the paperwork and it turned out that legally, someone else had bought their property first.  Unfortunately, they were forced to forfeit this land.  Their pastor Ernesto at the "Rios de Agua Viva" church helped this family by renting them a room.  The family faithfully waited on God to provide another affordable property they could mortgage until their opportunity came in April 2017.  They were able to mortgage a piece of land, and Casas Por Cristo blessed them with a house to go with it!

Each of us wrote a scripture in the walls of the home as a blessing that will forever remain with the home.  I shared James 1:2, 3 - "Consider it pure joy my brothers and sisters whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance." This family without a doubt has persevered and displayed it everyday with the way they fed us, assisted us, and shared their lives and stories with us.

It was truly a blessing to get know this family and spend the week with them.  Their sons were full of such happiness, and their smiles brought joy to us each morning that we arrived.  Thanks to you, we were able to also bless the family with some essentials such as cookware, dinnerware, carpet pieces for their home, paint, spanish children bibles, and toys for the kids.
