Yesterday we did a VBS in a nearby town called Olha d'Agua. Before it started a group of us went to a couple of public schools to invite the kids to come and join us...yes, you can do that here.
Along with the church and neighborhood kids we figured we'd have 40-50 kids with us for the afternoon...well, turns out that 150 kids came from the school...AWESOME! The place was packed and hopping.
We painted fingernails, faces and tatoos...
So, pray for all these kids. We have done VBS with close to 450 kids so far and have one more today (Friday)...pray that the seeds planted will be watered and grow into a generation of Brazilians that will proclaim Jesus as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
Even many of the teachers and administrators came on 3 school busses and celebrated with us. No doubt MANY from the school saw Jesus in a new way and seeds were planted.
We spoke of how Jesus was a servant leader and washed his disciples feet...so we did it too...
Sounds and looks like Thursday was GREAT DAY!
