day 2 (Tuesdsy) VBS was a hit!

Reflections from Luis today...

Title: New Day; New Beginning: Day 2 at Vacation Bible School

As we dive into the second day of our Vacation Bible School (VBS), the energy and excitement seem to grow exponentially. Today, we had the joy of welcoming 65 enthusiastic kids from second and third grade in the morning, followed by 60 lively kids from sixth and seventh grade in the afternoon. The diversity of ages and personalities enriches our experience, reminding us of the boundless love and creativity of God.

One of the highlights of our daily routine is the journey to the school where we host our VBS. Walking through the vibrant main street, soaking in the local atmosphere, and catching the local transportation adds an element of adventure to our day. It's a simple yet profound reminder of the beauty of embracing different cultures and communities.

However, what truly fills our hearts with joy is the rec time we've organized for the kids. After each morning lesson, we engage in four rotations aimed at reinforcing the main teachings, followed by the much-anticipated rec time. It's a time when barriers dissolve, laughter fills the air, and friendships blossom. Witnessing the children's sheer delight as they immerse themselves in play is a testament to the transformative power of simple joys.

Reflecting on this experience, I'm reminded of God's promise to make all things new. Just as the children eagerly embrace each new game and experience during rec time, we are called to embrace the new beginnings God offers us every day. Letting go of past hurts, fears, and preconceptions allows us to fully embrace the blessings God has in store for us - Isaiah 43:18-19

So, We invite you to take a moment and ponder: What new thing is God making in your life today? How can you embrace His promise of renewal and step boldly into the future He has planned for you? As we continue our journey through VBS, let's carry this message of hope and transformation with us, spreading God's love wherever we go.
