day 3...Pitombeira church, community and school!

Our team was invited by the area public school to do our VBS program INSIDE the school.today...first time ever!  Pray for fruit to grow for students, staff and teachers!

Now let's listen in and see what some of the MCC Students thought of the day...

Preston:

I love to play guitar and sing worship songs. Today I saw a guitar so i picked it up and started playing. I started to play Reckless Love and some of us joined in. And then Others who knew the song in Portuguese started singing it in Portuguese. Even though the guitar was missing a string and out of tune…We all praised and worshiped the Lord in different languages. Gods love is truly worldwide and has no limits. No matter the situation or the language. And it was so awesome praising the Lord with everyone.

Nathan:

Today i enjoyed going to peoples houses that go to the church we went to. We would ask them how they are doing and introduce ourselves to them. It was cool  hearing their testimonies of how they met God and what He is doing! Then we prayed for them and their family!

Hannah:

Today one of my favorite things was when Kristen and I were painting nails at VBS. Most of the kids were learning how to say “Thank you” in English. I thought it was really cool that they were making that effort to connect with us in that way. It just goes to show how much they care about us which is amazing since we just met them.

Nicholas:

My favorite part of today was doing the face painting. Changing from doing games with the kids to doing face painting I thought it was going to be hard. Then when I saw the designs I got a little scared. But when I actually went to do it the designs I made looked really nice. Together with Elsie we got all the kids’ faces painted.

We finished the day with a fun evening together with the Students from the church in Pitombeira...

One more day of VBS...keep praying!
