Lotza 6th grade girl campers and lotza New life in the Indian Ocean

Jeanette -
What a day at the Indian Ocean. 9 mentors from the Angaza Camp gave their lives to Christ!  We were blessed to witness it!

The Mt. team started the day at the 6th grade girls Angaza Camp. We were greeted by 20 amazing young women, who serve as mentors (camp counselors) to the 124 campers from the various MOHI schools. We kicked off with a game where a team member was blind folded and their team had to guide them from afar to find an object in the room. There were 10 teams of 12 children all screaming their guidance. At the end Quentin provided a great recap lesson of being sure we block out the noise in our lives and listen to the quiet voice of Jesus to guide our path. The highlight for us all were the 9 mentor baptisms in the Indian Ocean. A surprise gift for  us all. We are all so grateful and in awe of this camp and what it is doing for the kingdom. So many lives have been changed and blessed. The ripple affect is boundless. God’s peace.

So many connections have been made! It’s been amazing conversations with the mentors at the camp and with the campers. Sharing laughs with people all headed to the same goal. Being more like Christ.

The highlight of my day was watching the mentors get baptized in the ocean. It was an unforgettable experience!

The highlight for me was getting to know a few of the mentors intimately, like Jen, and Monica who also got baptized and so that was amazing to witness that for them. And being on the beach with all the kids and running around getting splashed!

Highlight for me today was getting to spend time with the angaza campers. Getting to know them better and watching them play in the beautiful Indian Ocean.

What a blessing it has been to watch the young women at Angaza encouraging one another . Whether with a snap, a song, a smile or kind words; they encourage one another daily and most importantly they encourage one another in their journey of faith.

Today was simply amazing. I really appreciate the way  young ladies showed support  to each other. I asked them what prayer request they may have. They asked for me to pray for the students they are mentoring for them to stay the course. They prayed for me and my family with boldness and under the anointing. The campers were asking many valid questions about America, hobbies, and making statements about their future. They were young in age 11-12 years old but mature in their faith and focused. The mentors were great examples for them and wanted the best for campers mentored. They were baptized today with a crowd of witnesses and they are filled with the Holy Spirit. Praying the  Lord will allow a mentoring partnership in the Harford County Public Schools to produce young men and women who will grow into mature folllowers of Christ. I am willing to do whatever God places in my Spirit to get this started in the states.  God knows, we could benefit from programs such as this.
New Creation...New Life...New Beginnings!
