Sunday - Monday

SUNDAY...
Today was a day I’ll never forget. 🇰🇪❤️
We spent the morning at the boys’ and girls’ boarding schools. At the boys’ school, we joined them for church—worshiping, praying, and learning about the Lord together. Afterward, our mission team and MOHI staff faced off against the high school boys in a soccer match.
The highlight? I scored the first goal! ⚽️ As someone who has never played soccer before, I was completely shocked. We ended up winning 2–1, with both goals scored by girls—me and Jess! The boys even gave me the game ball afterward and called me the best player. I’m pretty sure that title won’t follow me home, but it was a moment I’ll never forget. 😂
Later, we visited the girls’ school and were welcomed with the most beautiful song. As we walked, danced, and sang together, I couldn’t hold back the tears. Their joy, faith, and love are contagious.
This journey is changing me in ways I never expected. I am so grateful for every conversation, every smile, every lesson, and every memory. These are moments I will carry with me forever. ❤️🇰🇪

MONDAY...
The Field in Baba Dogo
Amid dusty roads and crowded streets,
a field of green stands bright.
A place where children run freely,
where laughter rises above hardship,
and dreams grow stronger than circumstance.
More than a soccer field,
it is hope in the heart of Baba Dogo—
a reminder that even in the hardest places,
joy can still take root.
With Special Needs Students...
Gail - today I felt joy working with the special needs students and staff. They work so hard to meet the needs of all the kids and the happiness of the kids is so evident!
Ended the day (monday) blessed with a delicious meal at the home of Mike and Jill Shuck. So great to see them doing so well here!
