Finished with 674 kids in VBS at Pangani and tomorrow we go to the Coast where we will do a 2 day VBS with 569 more beautiful kids! We will also hang out in the afternoons with the 6th grade boys at the Angaza Camp. Pray for our travel and our stamina!
Here are some reflections from out Team regarding our final day in Pangani...
Linda:Today is definitely bittersweet leaving the Pangani school and the students and staff. In just a few short days, it already feels like we all belong together. I am in awe of the staff there. The joy and love they share is something I’ve never seen before. My favorite thing to hear is when we say “God is good” and the kids respond “All the time” and we say “All the time” and they respond “God is good and that is worth a WOW”. My heart grows every time I hear it. ❤️❤️❤️

So this happened today…
Throughout the week, I kept trying to connect with a child to sponsor, only to find out—again and again—they were already spoken for (happy for them, sad for me) I prayed on it and then, I let it go. I had to trust that if I was meant to pour into the life of a child in this way, God would make it happen.
And He did!
He brought Abigail to me! She’s 9 years old. When I asked if she had any siblings, she nodded yes, one brother, and pointed to the boy sitting on Chuck’s lap right next to me! This was the very same boy who he had sponsored just the day before! Without even knowing it, God had already begun weaving our hearts and stories together!
And the sweetest part? At our farewell celebration, Eunice spoke about planting mustard seeds in these children’s hearts so that when we come back, we’ll see the giant tree! Now you all know how important the mustard seed verse is to me and this trip! So Abigail was sitting in my lap and in that moment, I knew what I had to do…I gave her the only beaded mustard seed bracelet I brought with me to Kenya. I placed it around her tiny wrist with tears in my eyes…🥹
She may not fully understand the meaning behind the mustard seed yet—but I will write to her when I return home and share how even the smallest faith can move mountains!
God is so personal, so intentional. And I’m in awe….♥️💯
“If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20

Another awesome day at MOHI in Pangani. More VBS, singing and telling the story of Zacchaeus. We were treated to a heat warming good by celebration ny staff and kids. Hard to believe our time here is over. I wish we could stay longer.
