Following are reflections from our Team.

As I reflect on the first half of the Brazil trip, I can’t help but to be reminded that when we say “One God” that means every tribe and tongue. I feel overwhelmed that I get to sing “Holy Forever” in the streets of Brazil in English, while my Irmãos e irmãs em Cristo sing out “santo para sempre” as we worship ONE GOD together!

God literally said.. Let there be. And so it all was. He didn't wave his hand, he didn't stomp. His foot or do a gesture to make this all appear.. He literally said let there be.. And this beautiful land, that's Sooooo far from the USA was created also. And still is beautiful till this very day. 🇧🇷 🇺🇸
Eric says...
In Christ, there are no differences, only Children of God. Language is not a barrier to the Love of Jesus. And yet, it's beautiful to talk and share as we learn each other's language. We help each other grow in this and often share a good laugh at the mistakes. We shake hands and fist bump and pat backs and give side hugs and full on hugs, expressing a love that goes beyond any barrier. Only the love of God in Christ Jesus is this Strong and Powerful and Beautiful.

This trip has been vastly different than I was expecting. I knew I was going to a new country on the other side of the world, but I didn’t know it was going to feel like home. The people and connections here make it easy to serve the communities and worship no matter where it takes place

*“We need to stop being convenient and be an inconvenience to others.”*

This isn’t about being difficult or annoying—it’s about embracing the Gospel’s call to live sacrificially, courageously, and missionally. As followers of Jesus, we must move beyond a life of convenience and step into a life of obedience. The Gospel is not about ease or comfort—it’s about sacrifice, surrender, and service.

Jesus didn’t live a convenient life. He entered broken places, spent time with messy people, and disrupted systems of injustice and religion. He lived missionally—always on purpose, always interrupting the status quo for the sake of others. His entire life was an “inconvenience” to those who preferred predictability, tradition, or power.

Romans 12:1-2 calls us to offer our bodies as living sacrifices, which is both holy and pleasing to God. But sacrifice is rarely comfortable. It requires us to show up when it’s not easy, to love when it’s not returned, and to serve when it costs us something.

Living Missionally in Our Community

So how do we embrace this “inconvenient” calling in real, everyday ways?

Here are a few ways to live missionally where you are:
1. Be Interruptible.
Slow down. Leave margin in your schedule for divine appointments. Jesus often changed His plans to meet someone in need. Will you?
2. Practice Radical Hospitality.
Open your home. Invite someone new to your table. Don’t wait for convenience—make space for real conversations, even if it’s uncomfortable.
3. Serve Without a Stage.
Look for ways to meet practical needs—mow a neighbor’s lawn, bring a meal to someone sick, or volunteer at a local nonprofit. Choose service that doesn’t make you look good—just does good.
4. Love the “Difficult” People.
The Kingdom advances when we love those others ignore. Go to the margins—befriend the overlooked, forgive the offensive, walk with the struggling.
5. Share Jesus Naturally.
Don’t preach at people—live and speak in a way that invites questions. When they come, be ready to give a reason for the hope you have (1 Peter 3:15), even if it’s inconvenient.
6. Be Consistently Present.
Show up again and again. Real impact takes time. People don’t need flashy events—they need faithful friends. Consistency is a holy inconvenience.

Final Thought
To be missional is to live sent—every day, wherever you are. The Church is not a building you go to once a week. It’s a people sent into the world to reflect Jesus. But this requires sacrifice. It requires a willingness to stop living comfortably and start living intentionally—even if it means being an inconvenience.

*Jesus didn’t save us to sit—He saved us to GO.*

“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.” — Luke 9:23

So, this is us so far...
Half way through the week, tired but ready for more and gonna finish strong by your prayers for us!
This is an actual picture taken from our van through a rain spotted window of a Christ Statue we visited!
